John Raymond needed a new website to coincide with his upcoming album release. John is a distinguished jazz musician in New York who is heavily influenced by indie rock. He wanted a site that felt elevated yet raw. I knew a great photographer to achieve this mood would be Matt Johnson who has shot for Cereal Magazine, Cuyana, and Darling Magazine. We coordinated the shoot and booked the Mast Brothers warehouse in Brooklyn. For the web design, I chose a clean layout to contrast the raw photography and typewriter fonts.
